Do you remember the first food you ever made?

I do, it's an easy one. What kind of pies do young children absolutely love to make? That's right, the first thing I ever made was a MUD PIE! Please, lets get our child's first recipes ever made to be edible this time around.

Very kid friendly recipes that they will enjoy eating and have fun making, like an easy cheese ball recipe or making their pet a tasty treat. Along with some sweet desserts that they will love.

Before you go straight to these Easy Recipes for Kids, I want to let you know what our kids are actually getting out of this.

Whats the benefit of kids cooking in the kitchen?

• Teaching children how to cook at a young age gives them a chance to not only learn the basics of cooking but also helps them to learn cooperation, patience, teamwork and gives them confidence.

  *Not to mention some quality time with mom or dad.

• Making desserts is a great kid activity and is very creative, and children can learn to bring out their own creativity.

  *An attempt at a gingerbread house could turn out to be a very big accomplishment.

• When children are introduced to cooking and are a part of the process they are more interested in trying the food that has been made.

  *Maybe even get them to eat something they normally would not like.

• It can be a fun way for children to learn reading and comprehension, basic math skills, fractions, measurements and how to follow directions.

  *Keeping them one step ahead.

• Last but not least, it's a blast making these easy kids recipes! Everyone will have a lot of fun.

  *If your lucky they might help you clean up to!

Do not forget to take precautions when you have children in the kitchen, lay down the rules first and make sure they understand them.

If you do not then you could have a serious accident that none of us want to happen.

Safety Precautions

1. The stove, oven, and all dangerous appliances are 100% out of the question and not to be touched.

   Some Examples: Blenders, mixers, toasters, toaster ovens, food processors.

2. Sharp objects such as knives and scissors should not be used by young children, keep them out of reach, it only takes a second, those little curious ones are fast.
3. Hot cookie sheets and pans should not be set down next to young children, set them on top of the stove or on a counter top.
4. Keep them a fair distance away from the stove when frying something, we all know how it feels to be burned by hot grease splatters and it will feel 10 times worse for them.

You can find many easy recipes for kids. From a few different types of recipes for rice krispy treats to kids birthday cake ideas that they can make for a friend, brother or sister, with some help of course.
